Paul Rabil was born on December 14, 1985, in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He grew up in Gaithersburg and attended DeMatha Catholic High School, where he played lacrosse and was a three-time All-State selection.
After high school, Rabil attended Johns Hopkins University, where he played lacrosse and earned a degree in economics.
While at Johns Hopkins, he was a three-time First Team All-American and helped lead the team to the NCAA Championship in 2005.
He also set the school record for career points and was named the 2005 USILA Attackman of the Year.
