Le’Veon Bell was born on February 18, 1992, in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. He attended Groveport Madison High School in Groveport, Ohio, where he played high school football for the Groveport Cruisers.
As a senior, he rushed for 1,653 yards and 23 touchdowns and was named first-team all-state by the Associated Press.
Bell then attended Michigan State University, where he played college football for the Michigan State Spartans from 2010 to 2012.
He finished his college career with 3,346 rushing yards, the fourth-highest total in school history.
